En Enero de 1991, Doble Nueve tocó durante todo el mes como "Clásicas" los temas "Woman lleva" de Stephen Stills y "Hot Blooded" de Foreigner, ambas de 1978. El mismo mes, radio Miraflores difundió un rarísimo tema que lo denominaban simplemente "En vísperas de la guerra", donde se escuchaban bombazos y ametralladoras. Había también una voz que hablaba en determinadas partes del tema. Más que una canción (porque ni cantaban) parecía una especie de propaganda para los soldados que combatían en el Golfo Pérsico.

* Durante aquel verano, Radio Miraflores incluyó en su programación una versión especial de este tema con ocasión de la Guerra del Golfo denominada "Escudo del Desierto", la cual estaba llena de llamados de diferentes personas.
** Tema techno pop que difundía 1160 en ese tiempo. Al menos así era el nombre que le daban a la agrupación, de la que no he encontrado información alguna hasta ahora.
